Update: Aggravated Robbery at Jonesboro Family Dollar

The suspect in Sunday's aggravated robbery of Family Dollar on Gee Street, is being charged as an adult.

Kentorius Davenport, age 17, of Jonesboro, went before the Craighead County District Court on Monday and received a $100,000 bond. He received a court date of April 19, 2019, for his next appearance.

Davenport is being held on Felony Aggravated Robbery charges connected to the incident on March 24th. Officers responded to The Family Dollar on Gee after the suspect approached the cashier from behind with a handgun. He ordered the cashier to open the register drawers and the safe. While the cashier attempted to open the safe, the suspect fired the handgun, striking the wall around the cashier's head.

During the incident, two customers entered the business. The suspect ordered them to a section of the store where he proceeded to rob them at gunpoint.

The suspect ran southbound from the business with f stolen money. After a citizen's tip, officers located Davenport in a a carport on Jefferson Ave. Money, clothing and a handgun were recovered from the scene. At the time of the arrest, he had 4 felony warrants from other agencies.
